Bringing together photographers, publishers, collectors and independent presses for a packed weekend of books and ideas.
BOP, Bristol's annual celebration of the photobook, returns to the Martin Parr Foundation and the Paintworks Event Space, running Saturday 10am–6pm and Sunday 10am–4pm. Entry to the festival itself is free with no booking required.
The bookfair
A line-up of photographers and photobook publishers from across the UK and Europe show new and classic projects at the photobook fair, alongside an interactive giant camera obscura, a working pop-up darkroom, street food and a pop-up bar.
Talks and extras
A ticketed programme of artist talks runs at £6 (£4 for members and students), plus the ever-popular BOP photo pub quiz, book signings and an outdoor exhibition. Many talks sell out ahead of the weekend, so advance booking is recommended for anyone hoping to catch a particular speaker.
