For nearly forty years Chris Packham has been one of the UK's leading voices for nature, and he brings that lifetime of curiosity to Beacon Hall on Thursday 12 November 2026 with World of Wonder: A Planet on the Edge.
A life shaped by nature
Packham opens what he calls an encyclopaedia of stories, from a childhood bedroom full of feathers, skulls and jam-jars of tadpoles to the wild adventures behind his work on The Really Wild Show, Springwatch and Earth, alongside practical ideas for what audiences can do in a time of environmental crisis.

Expect extraordinary specimens from Packham's own collection shown up close, untold stories from behind the camera, and his trademark infectious passion for the living world, delivered with both humour and urgency.
