Ty Hafan's spooky Dark Run returns to Bute Park on 17 October 2026, a family-friendly fun run through illuminated historic grounds in support of Ty Hafan Children's Hospice.
Join Ty Hafan on the 17th October for a 2.5k spooky fun run through the historic Bute Park right in the heart of Cardiff. This event is perfect for families with a route that passes iconic spots like the Gorsedd Stone Circle, the ancient Blackfriars Friary, and the peaceful River Taff—all lit up with spooky lights to set the mood.
Expect atmospheric lighting, live music and entertainment along the route, plus a giant glow stick to light the way. Glow sticks, light-up accessories and fancy dress are all encouraged as runners, joggers and walkers take part after dark.
This event is suitable for all ages and raises money for Ty Hafan Children's Hospice. It takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 from around 6pm to 8pm, with standard tickets from around £15-£25 for adults and £10-£17.50 for children, or discounted rates when committing to a £50 fundraising target.
